Job Description

I. Job Title: Product Specialist

General duties and responsibilities

To be responsible for meeting coverage sales targets and agency lines sales targets assigned in addition to coordinating all customers’ requirements with the relevant supporting departments. 

Specific duties and responsibilities
  • To meet coverage sales and agency sales target assigned.
  • To manage territories and agency lines assigned with minimum supervision.
  • To co-ordinate with relevant supporting departments on all pertinent and special arrangements regarding each sales.
  • To entertain potential and regular customers to secure business and maintain rapport.
  • To manage principals’ expectations on sales targets with minimum supervision.
  • To develop agency lines in order to meet targeted agency growth.
  • To be involved in executing marketing activities to develop product lines.
  • To exhibit product knowledge to execute consultative selling.
  • To actively participate in the department’s strategic planning activities in relation to the overall company direction.
  • To perform any other work as and when required.
Other
  •  To receive and act on any other instructions from the Unit Manager or any other person so delegated by him / her.
  • To receive and act on any other instructions from the Division Manager or any other person so delegated by him / her.
  • This Job Description will be periodically reviewed and additional duties and responsibilities will be included.  

II. Job Title: Product Manager 

General duties and responsibilities

To be responsible for meeting coverage sales targets and agency lines sales targets assigned in addition to coordinating all customers’ requirements with the relevant supporting departments.

Specific duties and responsibilities
  • To fully cover all the territories assigned by the Division Manager or Unit Manager to meet sales target.
  • To manage all sales and marketing activities of agency lines assigned independently.
  • To co-ordinate with relevant supporting departments on all pertinent and special arrangements regarding each sales.
  • To entertain potential and regular customers to secure business and maintain rapport.
  • To analyse market potential and to develop plans for products introduction and market exploitation.
  • To produce competitive analysis materials comparing products with its key competitors.
  • To develop mid to long term plan in developing agency lines in order to meet targeted agency growth.
  • To review articles in trade publications to keep abreast of technological developments in types of equipment merchandised.  
  • To work independently with Business Support Executives in handling/executing roadshows, exhibitions and etc.
  •  To actively participate in the department’s strategic planning activities in relation to the overall company direction.
  • To perform any other work as and when required.
Other
  •  To receive and act on any other instructions from the Unit Manager or any other person so delegated by him / her.

III. Job title: Project Sales Engineer

Responsibilities
  • To be responsible for meeting coverage sales targets for Laboratory Project Business
  • To manage existing and / or new clients and the overall project sales cycles.
  • To prepare sales proposals and conduct presentation for clients.
  • To work closely with the regional support and sales team as well as clients and contractors for all products and services supplied by the Company.
  • To co-ordinate with relevant supporting divisions on all pertinent and special arrangements regarding each projects.
  • To perform any other work as and when required.
Requirements
  • Possess Degree in Engineering, Mechanical / Electrical / Science or related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years relevant working experience in project sales, facilities management, HVAC design, laboratory design and/or interior design.
  • Prior experience in using AutoCAD is an added advantage.
  • Good interpersonal skills.  Able to multi-task and attention to details.
  • Excellent team player and able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel.
  • Must be methodical, logical and organised.
